Lucky Thirteen

I’m still recovering from the intense emotion of being aPackers fan this week!  The 13thgame of the season, I am very superstitious about unlucky 13, a sense of foreboding I inherited from my father, also a devoted Packer fan.  And my Packers kept me at the edge of my seat, sealing the victory in the final seconds of the game, overtaking the New York Giants and securing a playoff berth for the Super Bowl.  Exhale….made me curious if any of you football fans out there have any similar supersititions?  Or any specific measures you must take to ensure victory for your team?

I do recognize there is more to life than football, in fact, without this week’s topic we could not sustain life at all.  We collaborated on this week’s water activity with our good friends at the Global and Environment Technology Foundation www.getf.org If you enjoy this week’s activity on water you will be delighted to learn there are five more to complete this series which will be released in the spring of next year to help raise awareness of World Water Day on March 22. You can also find this activity on the homepage of another friend of Maggie’s Earth Adventures, H20 For Life, an organization  making tremendous efforts by partnering with schools and youth clubs to raise awareness of water issues.  From our basic household level daily activities here in the United States to the most remote villages around the world, the critical importance of clean water initiatives are paramount in solving our world water crisis.

Have a great week!
