A few days shy I wish you a Happy St. Patty’s day and hope you enjoy all the fun and frivolity this festive holiday delivers every year. This week I have more than green on my mind as it’s likely to take more than just the luck of the Irish to pull off another successful  World Water Day celebration on March 22st.  With just a week or so to go, I’m feeling the pressure as the impact of this event is directly linked to how much effort we put in on a local level to raise awareness of the campaign and the critical importance of a clean healthy water supply.  From across the globe as far down under as Australia to Brazil to Turkey to the U.S., local organizers are planning an impressive variety of events ranging from walks and painting expositions to vegan potluck dinners and even a performance by a Spanish mime.  As you know here at Maggie’s Earth Adventures we have dedicated the entire month of March to bringing you water related activities through our Weekly Activity Packet program.  Regardless of how World Water Day is celebrated in your community, the important mission behind the event remains clear.  Our health and that of our children for generations to come is contingent upon preserving our water supply.  If you’re looking for ideas or have any questions regarding this year’s World Water Day campaign, check out www.unwater.org/worldwaterday.org

Thank you in advance for your support of World Water Day and have a safe week as you honor the Irish this St. Patty’s Day!
