This week’s recommendation is Carlos Ruiz Zafron’s, Prisoner of Heaven. I remember being overwhelmed by his first book, Shadow of the Wind (for those enthusiasts I hear there is a Shadow of the Wind Tour in Barcelona) and his third certainly does not disappoint. Returning to the Sempere bookstore we again are taken on a mystery that spans twenty years. I read all of his books in Spanish but I understand the translated editions are just as good. His attention to detail and character development is simply superior.
