Students will read an article highlighting the famous Baines’ Baobabs of Botswana. Follow-up activities are scaffolded to help learners focus on main ideas of the selection before using critical thinking skills to use these ideas to paint a word picture. This activity is available on the primary and intermediate levels and correlates with the National Social Studies Standards: Culture and People, Places and Environment.
