I stop and try to whisper in my head what I just read. I think about the predictions I made and ask myself if I was correct. I make new predictions if my old predictions seem wrong. I try to picture what I am reading in my head. I read things again that didn't make sense. I circle or write down words I don't know. I stop and try to answer the questions I made from the section headings. I read all the captions and look at the pictures, tables, and graphs.
