Final WAP of the 2010/2011 school year

Dear Maggie Partners:

Today Maggie’s Earth Adventure’s presents our final WAP of the 2010/2011 school year.  In addition to the birth of my first grandson, together with our Maggie partners, we have celebrated Black history and Hispanic month, explored outer space, explored through the underground railroad, traced birds’ migration, cared for those affected by devastating earthquakes and tornados and much, much more.    Every year as I reflect back on our Weekly missives, I am stunned by how much happens over the course of a year and how quickly time flies.   And though our WAP program will be on summer break as of today, all of us at www.missmaggie.org will be ramping up for the next school year and the launch of our brand new home page.  In the meantime, we encourage you all to log on regularly to www.missmaggie.org and reach out to us on Facebook if you have a good story to share, a great book to recommend or to just say ‘howdy partner’.

Are you looking for an engaging activity to help distract your students as they countdown to the close of a long school year?  Check out this week’s activity which focuses on fun:

  • “Searching for Adventure” for your primary and intermediate students
  • “Finding Fun” for your emergent readers

We may “pop” in once or twice over the summer so check your inbox for periodic updates throughout the summer.  We’ll be back on a regular schedule in mid-August with a fresh new round of our famed WAPs AND the launch of our new and improved landing page!
Have a safe and happy SUMMER!
