This week I’m feeling especially grateful for all of our Maggie Partners, fellow educators who have taken the incredible initiative to help cultivate and foster environmental stewardship in our classrooms. Early this month, I was in Costa Rica with our executive producer, Mason, visiting Earth University where a rigorous 4 year undergraduate program is preparing young adults from regions around the world with core ethical values to ensure the sustainable development of the humid tropics. This week Mason and I are on the road again, sharing Maggie’s Earth Adventures with a host of enthusiasts at a Head Start Conference in Nashville. From kindergarten to college, as teachers we have an awesome responsibility and it is our shared passion for the sustainable future that will help shape the leaders of tomorrow. As we celebrate Earth Day this April, 22nd, I’m sending a big shout out to all of you for leading this charge in our classrooms every day.
