Back home from an amazing week of discovery and reflection in Velshire, Vermont where my family can be traced back three generations.  Was a pretty intense experience and as a result, I am enriched and empowered to take on the final few weeks of the school year.

Let’s all agree this time of year it is especially difficult to keep our kids on track and their distracted minds focused.  My Dear Colleague letter this week has some good ideas for infusing some creativity into the classroom while fostering young artists.  The importance of introducing art projects not only helps us identify talent and unique skill sets, but opens the door for our children to learn how to appreciate the art of others.  The opportunities are endless and I’m always thinking of new projects and interested in developing even more.  You can help advance the cause by letting us know some of the ideas you’ve come up with to promote the arts in your classroom!
