I suspect many of us are just about over the upcoming presidential election! I too am looking forward to radio and talk show hosts discussing something other than the campaign. But as educators, let’s not forget the big picture and that is that United States’ citizens most hallowed right is the right to vote. So here at www.missmaggie.org, we have designed a series of Weekly Activity Packets (WAPs) leading up to the election in November specifically designed to get your students interested in the election process and hopefully get them excited about their responsibilielection. Our goal is to help our students become civically engaged and understand how important the issues voted on today are going to impact their lives tomorrow.
