Part 2: Using New Technologies&Using Prefixes
SunLine Transit Travels In The Right Direction!
Ask students to scan the article to find a word that means in danger and another word that means to travel across. Write the target words on the board after the students have found them. Circle the en in endangered and the trans in Transit. Give students the following sort and ask them to say the meaning of each word and spell the word with a partner.

Plenty Of Prefixes!
Assign students to write a paragraph using as many words that have prefixes as possible. Tell them that the paragraphs need to make sense even though the paragraphs will sound contrived.
